Silk is a native of Canada. academic. Silk was raised in Fredericton. She was her father's daughter Peter Silk, who was a professor and Ilkay who was a playwright as well as director who was also renowned for her acting. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching and going to play rehearsals. Silk created a variety of commercials while she was a child. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in its early years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to further her acting career in the month of November 1999. She then, over the decade that followed, she relocated into Los Angeles, California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop in Los Angeles in 2007. When they got engaged in 2008, the couple got married in the year 2009. In Fredericton the 10th of April in 2011 following her change to Judaism they renewed vows during the Jewish wedding ceremony.
