Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. Although the band was not successful within their home country of the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group was disbanded in 1979. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her first solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Both the albums did not receive much success and Ford disappeared from the world of rock for a few years. In 1988, she came back to the world of music with a smashing album called 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. But her fame was only short-lived and she disappeared from the industry for several years. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
